These are the words of John the Baptist as he spoke of the Lord Jesus Christ and His ministry on earth. The event of being baptised with the Holy Spirit and fire was first experienced by people on the Day of Pentecost, as recorded in the Bible book of Acts Chapter 2. The importance of this experience cannot be overstated. God even confirmed to John the Baptist the purpose of Jesus Christ was to baptise people with the Holy Spirit (John 1:33).
